Vice President of the Federation of European Private Port Operators (FEPORT)
Malcolm has extensive and specialised skills in maritime logistics within Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. He has experience in all business facets of port management including business planning, operations, sales, marketing, finance and people management. Malcolm has worked at Board level for over 20 years within a number of UK based FTSE 250 companies including ICI, Transport Development Group, United Transport and Associated British Ports Holdings. In the latter group, he was Deputy Managing Director, a Director of Southampton Container Terminal, Tilbury Container Services and American Port Services. He is Vice President of the Federation of European Private Port Operators (FEPORT).
His particular skills include:
- Practical knowledge and experience of privatisation strategies for ports including the assessment of vendor style concession documentation for BOO and BOOT projects
- Experienced in developing and implementing business strategies to improve shareholder value in operating ports
- Undertaken full P&L responsibility in a diverse range of businesses including major port holdings
- Fully conversant with Trade Union and IR procedures in operating ports
